The Gérard Basset Foundation was set up in 2021 to honour the memory of Gérard Basset OBE MS MW MBA OIV MSc ASI World Champion – one of the most inspirational and loved figures in the wine industry. The Foundation supports academic and professional programmes on global diversity, equity and inclusion in the wine, spirits and hospitality industry.

The Gérard Basset Foundation nurtures endeavours through the Golden Vines® Scholarships and the Grantee program, which includes an illustrious list of global beverage organisations/initiatives, such as the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, Kedge Business School, OIV - The International Organisation of Vine and Wine, International Sommelier Guild, Bordeaux Mentor Week and Wine on Wheels.

We are a group of passionate enthusiasts deeply associated with the beverage industry. Our group has importers, distributors, Professors, marketing, sales, and Alco-Bev specialists. We bring all our knowledge and experience together to make an impact on the Indian Alco-Bev sector, especially through education. We consider ourselves as the ingredients required to make a perfectly blended beverage.

That is why we have joined forces with the Gérard Basset Foundation to launch the project 'Celebrating Unity in Diversity Through Wines & Spirits Education', which aims to offer and support structured beverage programmes for Indian learners.
